Testing Information
The PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) is a multiple-choice test that measures reading, writing and language, and math skills developed over the years.
This test is offered to juniors for a fee in the fall. Those taking it will miss class during periods 1 and 2 that day.
The Advanced Placement (AP) Program exposes high school students to college level material through involvement in an AP course. Colleges and universities, at their discretion, can then grant credit, placement, or both to students who have completed the exam.

The test will be administered each spring for a fee. Reduced fees are available for those who are eligible.
The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is a career exploration assessment offered to students in grades 10–12 that helps identify strengths and interests. Results can guide students toward potential career paths and provide valuable insight into opportunities in both civilian careers and military service.
The ACT is a standardized test used for college admissions in the United States. It measures a student’s readiness for college through four main sections: English, Math, Reading, and Science, with an optional Writing (essay) section. The test focuses on skills students learn in high school and provides colleges with a common way to compare applicants. Scores range from 1 to 36, with higher scores indicating stronger academic preparedness.
