                                Elks Student of the Month

The Benevolent and Protective order of Elks seeks to recognize our youth as upcoming leaders and our future. To acknowledge these students, Rice Lake Elks Lodge #1441 is taking nominations for Elks Student of the month. The student needs to be a senior in high school and a US citizen. Each month a student will be selected starting in January 2019. Deadline for submissions are Dec 31, 2018.

The students selected will be acknowledged in the local newspaper and will be invited to our annual youth banquet in May. Two students (one male and one female) will receive a $300 scholarship.

                                           Elks US Constitution Contest

The WI Benevolent Protective Order of Elks sponsors a US Constitution scholarship contest to promote knowledge of the US Constitution. More information can be found in Student Services or at this link:

Herb Kohl Initiative

The Herb Kohl Initiative Scholarship is designed for individuals who have overcome personal obstacles or other adversity to become a successful, motivated student. The $10,000 scholarship is aimed at students who are not necessarily at the “top” of their class academically, but those that have worked very hard to be successful in school and pursue a post-secondary education despite obstacles and/or adversity they may have faced.

 The Foundation of WATDA
The Foundation of WATDA awards 70 to 90 scholarships per year to students attending Wisconsin Technical Colleges for the following technician program: 

Tuition amounts vary and can be up to full tuition.  Average tuition awards are $3,000 ($750 per semester for four semesters).  Snap-on Tool sets may be awarded independently or in conjunction with tuition awards and have a retail value of $3,905.  Students that are not already working in the automotive industry can receive employment assistance.  The goal is to have all students working part-time while attending school to get on-the-job training and mentoring to enhance their education experience and graduate with a full-time job!

Application deadline is January 15, 2019.  Only students with complete application files by the deadline will be invited for a personal interview at a hosting dealership in their area.  The interview is for the scholarship only, not employment.

                          Wisconsin Professional Police Association

 Each year the Wisconsin Professional Police Association awards scholarships to Wisconsin students enrolling in a course of study leading to a degree in police science of criminal justice. More information can be found in Student Services or at this link:

WESTconsin Credit Union offers $1000 Scholarships to graduating high school seniors from the class of 2019. The goal is to award one scholarship in each community served by WESTconsin

The WITC Foundation presents more than $200,000 to nearly 500 students each year. Students are awarded scholarships based on their academic achievement, skills,  career goals and financial needs.

                                          WITC Promise Scholarship

This scholarship is funded by the WITC Foundation and provides college tuition assistance for high school graduates who meet the program eligibility requirements.

The WITC Promise Scholarship will pay the balance of tuition and fees for eligible students after federal and state grants are applied. Tuition will be covered for up to four terms.

             Hammett, Belin & Oswald Law and Justice Scholarship

We are excited to once again offer your students the 2019 Hammett, Bellin & Oswald Law & Justice Scholarship. This scholarship is for all first-year college freshman who will be attending an accredited College/University during the 2019-2020 school year (current seniors). Requirements: Applicant must be enrolled in and plan to attend a college/university during the 2019-2020 school year.- Proof of enrollment to an accredited college/university.- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
