Last night the Warrior Track and Field Teams competed in their Sectional Meet in Mosinee WI.

The boys ended the night with a score of 72 points, taking 2nd place only to Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau.

The boys qualified 10 of their 11 participants from sectionals to the state meet next week.

Kayden Warren took 6th place in the discus.

Advancing for the boys are:

Adam Strouf in the Discus and Shot put. Adam took 4th in the discus and 1st in the shot put, he also set a NEW SCHOOL RECORD IN THE SHOT PUT by adding over a foot to his personal record. Way to go Adam, the shot put school record had not changed since 1976, it was one of the two oldest records on our board.

First year PHENOM JP Senyoni continued a star studded year by adding a foot and a half to his triple jump and placing 3rd for the night.

Gannon Christman continues to cut time in his 110n high hurdles and ran a new personal best time of 15.05 to finish in 2nd place.

Marquez and Deairus Clerveaux both placed in the top 4 in a true photo finish. Marquez placed 3rd and Deairus paced 4th. The Brothers will battle it out 1 more time to see who is the faster 100m racer at the state meet.

Derek Penzkover looked like man possessed by his goal shattering his seed and setting a new personal record in the mile on his way to not only qualifying for the state meet, BUT WINNING THE MILE in a stacked field of runners.

Deairus Clerveaux also qualified in the 400, winning the event.

And last but certainly not least the Boys 4x100 meter team of Dawson Stroik, Deairus Clerveaux, Zach Widdes and Marquez Clerveaux broke the field and won the 4x100m relay with a blistering time of 43.50, just .4 off of the school record which they will be trying to break next week at the state meet.

All Three Girls competing at Mosinee last night qualified for the State Meet and the trio of Anna Penzcover, Jasmine Mlejnek, and Trinity Roberts finished in 10th place as a team out of 31 teams with 26 points.

Anna Penzkover set a new personal best time of 5 minutes 18.79 seconds in the 1600m run to place 4th.  She ran over 5 seconds faster than her previous time and battled to the finish line to earn the right to compete at the State Meet.  Anna was also 5th place in the 800m run with a new season best time of 2 minutes 22.35 seconds.

Jasmine Mlejnek advanced to the State Meet by finishing in 3rd place in a stacked field of talented girl high jumpers.  She cleared 5 feet 2 inches and is looking forward to competing down at UW-LaCrosse next weekend. Jasmine was 6th in the long jump and while setting a new personal best in the long jump by almost a foot by jumping 16 feet 6 inches.
