Senior Class - Information You Need to Know - please check frequent

Graduation ceremony for the class of 2018 at RLHS will be on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 7:30-9:00pm.
Seating at the ceremony will be very weather dependent.  Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors on the athletic complex.  Seating will be first come, first serve with ushers on hand to assist spectators.  If the weather does not allow for an outdoor ceremony, then it will be held indoors in the gymnasium with limited seating.  More information to come as the day gets closer!

Graduation Photo
As in previous years, Lifetouch Photography will be at our graduation commencement on June 6 taking a professional photograph of every graduate walking across the stage.  On Monday, May 21st, each graduate will be given a card to fill out in homeroom from Lifetouch.  This will allow Lifetouch the opportunity to email commencement proofs for families to purchase if they choose to.  Photos will be online at ten days after the ceremony.

Seniors are expected to have a completed Academic Career Plan - ACP (formerly e-portfolio) prior to graduation.  This e-portfolio must be completed to go on the senior trip, participate in graduation ceremonies and to receive a diploma.  Weekly workshops are taking place on Wednesday's in room 134 during resource for students that need help on their e-portfolio.

Senior Pictures

Seniors, we need your senior pictures turned ASAP!!! Please send these to Mr. Panasuk by Friday, February 1st.

Transcript Information

In order to access final transcript information, all students need to register with Parchment at  This will allow students to be able to request and send transcripts to their preferred destinations online.  Students will need to set up an account with Parchment.  This is a free service to all students.  Even though you register with Parchment now, transcripts will not be sent out until June.

Senior Scholarship Award Recognition
Seniors receiving special recognition and/or scholarship awards will be invited to this very special program.  They are encouraged to bring family members as well.  The location of this program will be at RLHS in the auditorium on Monday, June 4th.  Start time will be at 7pm with a social gathering to follow in the south lobby of the school.

Seniors, please be sure to check the following scholarship link below for a wide variety of scholarships that you may be eligible for through student services.  Be sure to check back frequently for the list is continuously changing.

Senior Panorama
On Monday, December 18th, all seniors received an envelop pertaining to the senior class panorama photograph. This photo will be taken on Monday, January 8th, 2018 at the High School in the Ole Olson Gym at 1pm. All students of the graduating class of 2018 are required to be there. Cost to purchase the photograph is $18. Students must have their envelop filled in with the necessary amount at that time. Following the photograph will be a brief meeting regarding caps and gowns. (See below)
NOTE: Extra forms are in the office for students who would still like to order one. Forms are due to Ms. Bergeron by Friday, January 12.

Cap and Gown Information
During the week of December 11th, all seniors were given a half sheet of paper to fill out that pertains to reserving a cap and gown for graduation. Please keep in mind, they still need to order one through Herff Jones as well. On Monday, January 8th, a Herff Jone's representative will be at the high school following the senior class panorama to pass out materials regarding the ordering of a cap and gown for each of the seniors. Please review this information and order in a timely fashion.

Cap and Gown Order Due Date
Orders for cap and gown will be due on Friday, January 19th at the high school during lunch and resource time. There will be a Herff Jones Representative in the main lobby collecting orders at this time. Any one wishing to place their order early should do so online by using the following link: Herff Jones

Cap and Gown Distribution
Caps and gowns will be distributed on Monday, May 21st in the gym lobby during homeroom.  Any senior receiving their cap and gown must be in good academic status to graduate, have all fees/fines paid and their
E-portfolio completed.
SPECIAL NOTE: Seniors will be given their caps on Wednesday morning  June 6th toward the end of 1st period to wear as they visit other schools in the district to say their thanks & good-byes.   (see senior picnic information at the bottom)

Herff Jones Announcements
Any senior ordering their announcements through Heff Jones may pick these up on Tuesday, April 24th in the high school cafeteria during lunch.

Senior Class Speaker
Senior class speaker try outs will be held on Wednesday, May 16th at 4pm in the English department.  Any student wishing to try out in becoming this year's class speaker at graduation will need to pick up information from Mrs. Schmitzer.  Sign up deadline is Wednesday, May 2nd.  

Senior Class Trip - CHANGE OF LOCATION!!!!

Wisconsin we come!
This year's senior class trip will be on Wednesday, May 30th to Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells. Be ready to have some serious fun in the water indoors and outdoors as well as the theme park!  Cost will be $30 per person.  This will include bus trip, admission and pizza/fountain drink at the park.  Money can now be turned into Mrs. Hansen in student services.  Checks may be made out to Rice Lake High School.  Sign up deadline Wednesday, May 23rd. has been extended to the end of the school day Tuesday, May 29th!

Please note:
  Any senior choosing to attend this trip must be in good academic status to graduate, have all fees/fines paid and their E-portfolio completed.

General Trip Information:
Buses will be coach buses.
Students can board buses beginning 7:30am by door E2 located by the cafeteria patio.
Buses will be leaving at 7:45am.
Students may bring food on the bus.
Buses will begin return to Rice Lake at 4:30pm with a stop (1/2 hour) in Mauston for fast food supper.
Approximate return time to Rice Lake will be 8:00 pm
Students should bring sun screen, swim suit, extra food for the bus, and some extra money for at the park and food for the stop on the way home.  

Senior Class Appreciation & Picnic
This year the senior class will be traveling to all other schools in the district for one last final good-bye and thanks.  This will take place in the morning with a class picnic to follow on  Wednesday, June 6th,  prior to graduation practice.  This will be replacing the senior class banquet.  There will be no additional cost to the seniors and will be held on the patio around the concession area in the athletic complex.

The tentative schedule for the day will be as follows;

              *Travel to Middle School & Hilltop
              *Travel to St. Joe's
              *Travel to Haugen & Tainter
11:15am - Return to high school
              *Senior class picnic/cook out/slide show on patio                      of athletic complex
11:45am - Graduation practice on infield
12:45am - Pass out tassels and dismiss seniors
